What caused the sideline interference penalties last night.

Jan 4, 2014, 4:35 PM

The network did not show them. Was Dabo on the field? Was it players? Assistants?

the fact that the refs saw OSU couldn't beat us without help

and nothing more.

You may see that called once a season on a team. Last night was effing ridiculous.

top of the screen wearing his purple sweatshirt right before OSU snapped the ball. Venables is known for creeping on to the field. He's constantly having to be grabbed by the belt by one of the assistance and pulled back. At one point, he went up to Dabo and said, "Put me in coach."

The Ref has to be able to run down the sideline, in the white painted area, without obstruction from players or Coaches.

I have never seen this penalty called without at least 1 or 2 warnings first.

That is why everybody has a "Get Back Coach".

Coach Venables has his own "Get Back Coach" on his hip at all times to keep him off the field.

Former Big East Officials trying to get a measure of revenge for imploding their League and I am sure affecting their wallets.

What happened to the penalty, personal foul, on the sideline

which should have given us a first down?

The sideline warnings are usually announced. Didn't see

that last night.

the rules changed 2 years ago

The warnings arent "official" and do not have to be announced. Most officials will give several warnings, but the rule does not require it anymore.

I think Coach Venables was throwing his cigarette butts on

the field. Those were the most ridiculous flags thrown last night. I saw a number of late hits by Ohio State which should have been called.

Makes you wonder if these officials are bought off in Vegas sometimes.

I have no clue but...

The first was 5 yards and the second 15????

If the third was a DQ, you better believe they'd call it***
