The logic is that (until tonight) we both had one loss in the ACC ... so we “tied” ... But our head-to-head win gave us the right to represent the Atlantic in the title game.
Glad we don’t share anything now.

Well no, so long as we are posting a co-championship in the 2012 year it is hard to argue that Woofies could not have claimed a co-championship if they had won out. We have to be consistent. As Dabo has pointed out, ties make division co-champs, head on head decides the advance. But Woofies took care of that, and they might even be chumps enough to lose to UNCheats.
