The only team that might stay ahead of us is LSU, which I am ok with. Yeah they have 3 losses, but also a big win and they've looked pretty good recently. Us, eh, not so much since Watson went out. We've been getting the wins with our defense, which I think is awesome, but the polls love em some eye candy on the scoreboard against the lesser foes.

I think with Watson we are a top 10 team for sure, but without him and the way our offense has been struggling, I would say a ranking around 20 is about right. We should make a pretty big jump these next few weeks as long as we take care of business.

GT or Duke passing us? That ain't happening. I won't allow it.

Completely agree with the offensive eye candy for pollsters. If we beat the Cuse 42 to 32 most would think that looks better than 16-6. You are not going to blow teams out with a great D and average to below average offense, but you will sometimes if the reverse is true. That said, we probably have gotten some of that offensive point scoring love in the past.

The SEC is the only conference that gets the benefit of "good D" causing close games.

B/R's top 25 has us down a spot to #20, with Duke jumping us to #19.
