NMST beat Davidson. SDST has a good big man that can cause problems for OSU but I don't think they are as good as NMST. I have Murray St going to the sweet 16 in one bracket but I think they played an easier schedule than NMST did and have the same record.

I don't believe so, personally...I'd throw SD State or Murray State over them. Keep in mind, New Mexico State's opponents' offense rated 199 nationally. Clemson's opponents offense ranked 28th. So, while Clemson's defensive ranking of 8th nationally versus NM State's 14th national ranking (KenPom, by the way), it's the level of competition that tells the true story, in my opinion.

They have beat Miami, Illinois, and Davidson. I do like Murray state a lot though but NMST may be the best 12.

Auburn isn't the same team without McLemore.
They've lost 4 of their last 6 without him.
I know we lost DG, but we've at least figured out how to win without him.

Lol right. That said all 4 of those Ls were to teams in the tournament and 2 of them were without Mitchell and he came back.

Yes. It seems 12 seeds are usually the best of the none power 5 conference teams besides Zaga that is. They have beat some good teams like Miami and Illinois and took USC to the wire. I just feel like we earned an easier game in the first round. We should have been a 4 seed but yet we get to play probably the best 12 seed with us being a 5. Not complaining I expect to win no matter who we play but it is not an easy matchup.
