Was Disney crew running down hill better than the real one?

Sep 26, 2019, 4:08 PM

The first 5-10 seconds of running down the hill are pretty great. The next 3 minutes of 2x2 skipping down the hill could be improved.

Though in fairness, we have won twice as many championships with the current hill routine than the previous.

Did the Disney Tigers woohoo on the way down?

Sep 26, 2019, 4:10 PM

That's important to know before I answer.

No, but the crowd did.

I thought the extras “ran” down the Hill in slow motion from watching from the southwest side of the stadium. It didn’t look very realistic, but I’ll bet it post production they will compensate to give it more drama.

The camera/sound crew can't run backwards down the hill. They just go at half-speed and compensate as you say.

No, Disney came down way slower but there were also less of them.

Players use to show much more fire and energy at the top of the hill. Nowadays they kinda look like they are just loafing. Its not near as cool. Especially without the balloons. I wish they would improve it a bit. It use to be the most exciting 25 seconds in college football but honestly it needs some of the old school magic back.

Orange smoke? I think that causes global warming. I guess its the chrome helmets by default :)

It was just weird for them to run down the hill with no band to run through on the way to the sideline. Are they going to animate the band in somehow?

From a Disney crew member/Clemson grad that’s been to every game this season, and many others :) ... :

It was a smaller team, and they did not run full speed. The stars of halftime were the CLEMSON FANS..Disney capitalized on the crowd reaction, and a big thanks to Tiger Nation.

Of all the hill entrances I’ve seen in my life, including GT, A&M, and UNCC this year, the Disney halftime entrance was by far the loudest... Tiger Nation even booed the opposing team’s entrance. I believe there were less than 20 players on that team. That was also the loudest booing I’ve experienced in the Valley, or anywhere for that matter.

Excellent work Tiger Nation. Every crew member from the film is now a fan!
