Yep, this doesn't help anything. I am a conservative white guy who has no issue with promoting black lives matter, but am definitely against the BLM organization. The poster has embarrassed himself by promoting a stereotype. Most black folks are decent law abiding citizens just like every other race. That was an offensive post and a racist post --period.

When placed on courts, helmets, etc., which are they representing?

English Premier League, CFB, and nearly every other sporting association that are using the BLM tag line are probably not promoting the destruction of the nuclear family, marxism, socialism, communism, and whatever else people are saying the BLM organization stands for.
Reasonable to assume it's about ending racism. Messages about ending racism have been visible in the EPL for years.
Understand too that the diverse group of owners, players, etc. whom ALL come from very diverse backgrounds are largely unified by this.
Pretty big political leap to think society is promoting a "terrorist" organization (as some describe) while condoning riots and looting.
Not super hard to figure out, at least the way I see it.

That is a valid opinion. Nothing terrorist about it. However

there is nothing racist in believing that the logo should not be used because of the terrorist aims of the organization. Those are two different views, and worth discussing, but one is not terrorist and the other is not racist. Going straight from disagreement to tribalism was the error in the mange thread and, imo, in your original post.

the logo. While I struggle to understand that stance, it is not racism at work.
The quote from the manger I linked in OP is abhorrent.

With Dabo as our HC, I know CU FB’s intent is honorable.

With others, just assume their use of BLM references the movement and is well intended.
Criminal actors inevitably show their true motives, usually repeatedly.

other way anyone chooses to express their opinions - other than to say anyone should say anything they believe to be true - but trying to separate BLM the organization from blm the sentiment is dishonest. Some of the aims of the organization are so bad that no one is required to support or agree with the use of their logo. Anyone is free to use it, including the WF football team, but where is the racism in calling it out for what it is?

Logo is prominant and world wide. Nuances of organization are not as widely spread, and components are in fact not supported by many including me.

Or a rainbow, because, ya know, you are appreciative of the promise God made to not destroy the world again by flood.... not that you're a fan of PETER Puffin.

The “logo” is just an acronym. I’m pretty sure the logos for nazis and lgbqt or whatever are universally Recognized and interpreted. Worldwide.
The acronym blm the same. Except for a small (relatively speaking) group that thinks the acronym refers only to some radical organization that adopted the acronym.
In turn they get all worked up rather than finding even an ounce of empathy.
