One thing to have empty seats against the lesser teams on the schedule but there shouldn't be so many on a Saturday night against UNC. And the ones there just sit on their hands..

Littlejohn has the capability to be electric and one of the best atmospheres in college basketball. It certainly has been before (Ellis, Barnes, Purnell times).
A strong football program should only help the basketball program and enthusiasm from the fan base.
So, why is it like this now? I really don't know. Brownell seems like a solid coach and generally has teams which improve as the year wears on. It's true the style is boring, but Purnell and Barnes were also defensive oriented coaches. Maybe it's because we don't have an exciting player on offensively now. No KJ, McIntyre, Buckner, etc. No excuses, fans should be fans in the lean times too but we need to recruit better to fix this.

Its fairly simple. The 5 percent of the fanbase that believes in BB cannot fikl LJ. The other 95 percent choose to do other things than watch that garbage.

Since Littlejohn is such a dump we can't recruit decent players then it's too much of a dump for people to attend games there...if only for safety.....I'm just saying, since LJC is as bad as most people say it is, you may take your life into your own hands by attending!

I was there...
It's no fun watching a team that can't score and gets the majority of our points off garbage. We miss backside rebounds, they ran the same back door play twice to the left and twice to the right side, you could see it coming several seconds before it happened.... I hate unc, their fans travel well, but to hear a "let's go tarheels" chant loud enough to make every Clemson fan in LJ realize were not on their level, sucks.... We don't have one player that would be in the 8-man rotation at UNCheat. Not one.
The players we have right now couldn't beat that unc team that showed up tnt 1 time out of 100. You know were not a good basketball program when the loudest the crowd got was at the very end when our white dude took a shot.
With 10 minutes left it was 60-30... Really? And you're gonna call out fans for sitting on their hands while you were watching on tv.

We were planning on it but couldn't get a sitter for our 9month old and 2 year old. I have a special hatred for unc because I spent 4 miserable years there in med school after I finished at Clemson. I also have the dubious honor of going to the same high school as Roy Williams. So back home he and the tarholes are gods. Which brings me to my point, Clemson is pretty close to a few larger towns/cities in NC with Asheville and Charlotte. In fact Clemson is the closest D1a school to Asheville. Combine that with the fact that many unc alum and regional fans don't get to go to games at their stupid baby blue coliseum, they know they can easily get in to see them at Clemson, especially during a down year on Christmas break

Btw, even though he missed the shot he is a good shooter. Why not play him some, as could not get any worse. We have no other guys can score.

No say. Littlejohn was packed for OP in 2008 when we lost in double OT to UNC while students were on break. People came back early for that game. It isn't the students/fans. It is that the coach and team give them zero reason to care.

A student's perspective

The man reason students were not at the game was because it is still Christmas break. We are not allowed to move back into our dorms until Monday. I told housing that there was a big game and asked if I could move in early and they said no, no exceptions. The students who do not live close to Clemson had no way of going to the game. That was a big part of the problem.
