winner is more probable, which would make some of my long-term dreams for CLEMSON come true, from my first days on campus in 1957.
Got the Natty in 1981 (24 years later)..and maybe the Heisman in 2016 (120 years later after fielding our 1st team & 116 years after John Heisman himself came to Tiger Town to coach).
Life is good, even if slow to bring desired results!
Uphill struggle for Clemson ever to bring home a Heisman

A national championship is certainly within our grasp, because that is now settled on the field. But winning the Heisman is another matter entirely - decided in the media & not on the field. DW4 could put up historic numbers & lead us to another undefeated season, but he still wouldn't likely win the Heisman. Because his statistics are automatically considered to come with an asterisk - that they were put up against ACC competition, which is considered to be third-rate at best. Within the media, there is simply too much worship for the SEC & too much contempt for the ACC for a Clemson player to have a realistic shot at the Heisman.
