UGA QB Options

247 has an article listing UGAs potential QB options for 2020. They list Anthony Brown and Jamie Newman as possibilities. Think both would do better in spread but either would be an upgrade over Fromm. Hate to see them leave the ACC. The article also lists Chase Brice as a possibility. I can’t see a great kid with Brice’s character fitting in the current culture at UGA.

GA recruits pretty well...this is surprising. If they are this thin it seems weird that Fields flew the coop

They have a couple possibilities but none of them played much last season. Kirby gets 5* recruits then plugs them in the line, the D and Receiver. IMO, Kirby's not too "Smart" developing QBs or inserting an offense that fits today's athletic QBs.

I think Fields left due to the style of play after all is said and done.

He really made a mistake choosing UGA. I think he made that decision with his heart growing up in GA instead of the best fit for his skill set.

They currently have;

D’Wan Mathis: Not a real option IMO. He underwent emergency brain surgery last spring so I'm not sure he's even been cleared for contact.

Stetson Bennett: Bennett is Fromm’s backup but hasn't really seen any meaningful PT other than in a mop-up role.

Who’s coming in?

Carson Beck: Beck is rated as the No. 8 pro-style QB in the country but didn't have a great Senior season.

Who's available via the transfer portal?

Feleipe Franks

Chase Brice (maybe)?
