Let's try this:
LSU is the #1 scoring offense at 49 points per game
Clemson is the #4 scoring offense at 45 points per game

Clemson is the #1 scoring defense at 12 points per game
LSU is the # 28 scoring defense at 22 points per game

If we meet in the middle, then LSU scores 30 points and Clemson scores 34.

So there is my simplistic prediction.

I agree, I think our offense is a lot more comparable to their offense than their defense is to our defense. I think our defense ends up being the difference and is why Clemson wins.

We always peak in the Championship phase & it looks like LSU has too. Ohio State was better than LSU but we may be more beat up but better prepared.
