Trump rally in South Carolina. It's an interesting read. I say South Carolina people are some of the most decent on the planet.

Having never been to an event like this I noticed something

There was a difference, and a STARK difference, between the VIP folks I was with up front and the folks who sat in general seating. Now keep in mind, anyone who made it in that auditorium from the general public stood in line at least 7 hours in the 98-degree sun. Many of those people were from out of state, or were absolute Trump fanatics, or both. Half the people I met in general seating came from NC, GA, FL, etc. But the average South Carolinian is not going to take a day off work, sit in the heat for 7 hours to watch Trump.

Most of the yelling, jeering, cheering, etc. came form the general seating. Having met thousands of people across this state over the years, I can say that arena was not representative of the state. The people Henry McMaster invited were. But not those who showed up.

So, you are saying that the audience included included a large number of fanatical supporters of TheRump, that were possibly paid by the Koch Brothers (to attend), similar to the big Tea Party rallies in DC???

Tiggity, how much money did you make yesterday?

Jun 27, 2018, 8:46 AM

Does Koch, inc pay well?

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I dunno. I could figure it up. Worked from 8am to 7pm.

Jun 27, 2018, 9:29 AM

The rally was the day before yesterday BTW. Only made maybe half as much that day since I stopped working around 1pm. So it actually cost me money to attend I guess you could say.

I was a guest of the governor. Paid zero for that, other than my vote which he had anyway. Taking an afternoon off work cost me some $$$. Just have a really good friend who did an awesome favor. Was a great experience. Guy next to us in the VIP line was the cook at the governor's church. It was interesting the friends invited by the governor we met were not huge donors, or rich people at all. They were just friends. About half the people or more in the VIP area were friends of the governor. They were not all huge donors or wealthy by any means. The other third perhaps of the people there were either donors, and/or people high up in the GOP in SC, or politicians. But the room had people from all incomes, and they were all good people. Money doesn't make you a good or bad person. You make yourself a good or bad person income notwithstanding. That's one thing I've learned in life.

Didn't know of anyone paid to be there from the folks I met. Maybe some of the general admission folks were. If so they earned their $$$ sweating in the heat for 7 hours. Perhaps you're better informed than me, so maybe you can tell me how much Koch Inc pays.

I have no idea what they pay.

Jun 27, 2018, 9:41 AM

But then again, I didn't say folks who were there got paid.

Clearly you folks haven't been to a game at Willy B. Hell, this rally was in Columbia, right?
