We didn't stop recruiting Mark Fields did we?

I think it's a bit hypocritical to expect a kid to shut everything down when he commits. We don't honor it when a kid commits to another school.
When Fields was a Gamecock Dabo and Co kept in contact. They didn't back off. We ask a kid on one hand to be honorable to Clemson, then ask another kid to dishonor another school. So what do the self-righteous say to that?

Fields was the one who reached out to our staff. Besides, who cares.

Dsbo doesn't over recruit like the SEC schools.READ the article Hood posted, if you can't understand that, turn the computer off and get out of the trailer for a while.Kid wants to visit other schools, don't commit, doesn't have a thing to do with other school's recruits, Dabo and staff are just interested in Clemson.

"That you're missing up Dabo's policy with Fan policy". Also that was a good point up above that Mark Fields contacted Dabo and Co.. Also you have know idea what goes on behind close doors when it comes to Clemson and other schools recruits and quite frankly its dumb of you to even insinuate that you do. What do you say about that.....

I'll fill you in.
We've broken it off with a fair number of recruits who the coaches felt weren't All In, because in the Clemson dictionary of commitment, that's what it means - you're one of us. Though another kid may be "committed" to another school, if the staff knows he's not All In there, and not fully committed, he's open game.

Pretty sure it was the Japanese who did that. Might want to check that out. It was their huge mistake.

It's up to the kid to honor his commitment. It's up to the schools to recruit them.

Not sure if a troll. It's common for coaches to remain in contact with players after they sign elsewhere, and on into their college career. our coaches contacted and offered lattimore support after the injury. They maintained contact with him through his career after signing elsewhere. A coach that cares about a kid doesn't get to know a kid, his family, develop a strong relationship, and cut off all contactand ties just because he commits elsewhere, unless he didn't care about the kid to begin with. You wish him the best with his commitment. Keep in touch with him from time to time and maintain the relationship that you've developed with him, becaus you care about him.
We didn't have fields come in on an official visit while he was committed to another school. College football is about relationships. These coaches have great relationships with a lot of kids who have gone elsewhere. Fields reached out to our coaches and told them he wanted to continue to be recruited as he was t ready to shut the door on Clemson. We had a slot available, when a kid tells you this, and conveys this, he is not committed to another school. You therefore recruit him if he would be a good addition. Conversely, when a kid tells you he want to officially visit another school, he's not committed to your school. Schools only have a set number of official visits they can give each year, they don't have a kid visit unless they believe he could be a potential addition to their orogram.
What we've done has all been above board. If other coaches want to allow a kid to officially visit another school while he holds a spot, that's on them. Those coaches also are likely to drop a kid at the 11th hour because someone better came along (Spurrier is notorious for doing this to kids). Those coaches are also likely to attack the way we do things.

by women other than his significant other. That explains why he doesn't understand the concept of commitment in the face of temptation. That, or he cheats on his significant other with reckless abandon.

As some sort of argument about this when in fact the only reason we have fields is BECAUSE of this policy and the developments with briscoe, and the late take of fields in his place.

It's not hypocritical at all. It's actually a consistent mindset of Dabo. His thought is if a kid will visit than he isn't really committed. He thinks that of his commits and other schools commits.
