People are dying early deaths because of years of playing football and getting hit in the head. Sorry but life is MUCH more important than a football game.

It is a bummer at times when it is obviously accidental in a quick situation. All football is going towards player safety though. That rule will never be changed with all of the concussion issues.

I guarantee concussions would go down. People aren't going to lead with their head if there's no padding.

I'd change the rule to this:

if the player you hit has to leave the game, you must leave also, until that player returns. With a maximum of the rest of that game. Sitting out half of the next game is way too penal.
