that November 11, 2018--the 100th Anniverary of cessation of "the war to end all wars"-- is rapidly approaching and it is time to celebrate Clemson's legendary Class of 1917 who, to a man, volunteered for service in WWI. That's correct. EVERY MEMBER of the Class of 1917 volunteered.

Its simply remarkable to imagine them taking the train into the old depot to begin school as students in August and then marching in formation to take a troop train out of town that spring. They were heroes one and all
