The Face of the Democrat Party

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2015/07/30/chris_matthews_to_debbie_wasserman_schultz_whats_the_difference_between_a_democrat_and_a_socialist.html
On MSNBC's Hardball Thursday night, host Chris Matthews stumped DNC Chairwoman Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) when he asked her what the difference is between a Democrat and a socialist.
"What is the difference between a Democrat and a socialist?" Matthews asked, leaving Wasserman Schultz at a loss for words.
"I used to think there is a big difference. What do you think it is?" Matthews tried again.
Wasserman Schultz again was unable to answer and instead tried to tell Matthews what the difference between a Democrat and a Republican is.
"What's the big difference between a Democrat and a socialist?" Matthews again asked.
"You're chairman of the democratic party. Tell me the difference between you and a socialist," Matthews reminded her.
Schultz, however, was able to tell the difference between a Democrat and a Republican.
Answer: There is no difference. This is not your daddy's Democrat Party.

It's funny b/c there are supposed to be differences

Every issue has two extremes and the democrats are siding with socialists on every one. Go to ISideWith.com You'll see what democrats support alongside republicans but will never admit b/c it doesn't play into their "long game".
Question to 10 million people: Should able-bodied, mentally capable adults who receive welfare be required to work?
https://www.isidewith.com/poll/46496957
ALL: 78% YES REP: 94% YES DEM: 73% YES SOC: 29% YES
I thought this was particularly interesting b/c you could never get a democratic candidate to take that stance. If a Republican candidate says they believe able bodied people should be required to work for welfare, they would be crucified by the same people who SUPPORT IT by a huge margin! Crazy web of lies, smmfh.

yup, my daddy's democratic party used to lynch blacks and wear white robes. Fortunately those elements have found a more suitable home in the GOP.

Ludicrous. FDR was more socialist than the Democrats today. The country has shifted to the right on economic issues since then.

There are some aspects of our govt./society that are socialistic and most are supported by all Dems and many in the GOP.

being a poor commie?
If you own a business, do you want more government oversight. If you are middle class, do you want to pay higher taxes. Do you want more red tape to get anything done, from health care, to buying property, to operating a car, to careers... Do you want government lynch men on the corner.
Wake up, Socialism sucks!

It's not a vacation. I'm asking that you leave... You pick your new country and I'll buy a One Way Ticket. You must renounce your citizenship, give up your American passport and be done with America. After a few years of good behavior, perhaps they will allow you to become a citizen.
You gotta get the paper work done on your own. I don't think foreign countries, commie or not take to kindly to illegals entering their country. They'll imprison you and maybe execute you.
So on Monday get busy. It will take a while to get all the paper work done.
