I was afraid it might go like this once the surgeries started. Hope he will be ok. Just hate to see players get hurt like this

Normal, he will never have a what we all take for granted as normal. I've always had above normal strenth that i always believed would protect me from lifting injury. On October 3d 2006 that strenth failed me in an instance. After 3 back opperations, i'm now 100% disable and 23% as a whole person. There are more days than not that i think that the pain is going to cause me to have a heart attack. I have to plan every move i make in fear of something else happening in my back. I tell my wife that if i die before her to just shake the urn, and if it sounds like shes shaking the hard wear store then she has the right body. I will pray for awhile that JK that he will be able to play with his kids. I'm hoping his youth will give him a better chance of a recovery than i had at 54 when i was injured. LOL, my wife tells our friends that my biggest worry is, the day i won't be able to climb the steps in Death Valley again. That may not be the biggest but, it is in my top 5. I just hope when that day do come, somebody will help me to my seat. JK, just do what the doctors tell you. And i'm sure you have the prayers of all that believe will be with you. Good luck to you young man, i hope and pray you will have a normal life.

Wow, sorry to hear about your back problems. That scares

the crap out of me just hearing it. I'm 34 and I threw my lower back out this past August. It took about 2 weeks before I could move normally again. It is still sore from time to time and I'm afraid I'm just going to have to live with it from here on out. Back pain is no fun at all and something I don't wish on anyone. I certainly understand JK's decision to give up football and wish him the best.

God's blessings to JK. I know he is far more than a football player, and he will do well in whatever he pursues.

You guys have some bad luck with young recruits, I know of 3 now, the Linebacker that had seizures (epilepsy im guessing), the kid from J.L. Mann that had a stroke which is awful and unfortunate and now J.K. Jay... My prayers go out to these guys especially the kid from man, what a tough way to end football careers.

good kid. I hate this. hopefully he'll have a full recovery. As a cavalier and a tiger I was really looking forward to watching him play. He was only our 2nd D1 recruit ever.
Best of luck to you JK

I don't know how he is staying on scholarship, but I am glad that he is. I think this young man has his priorities in order.
