Unbelievable to me how one lucky shot

goes in, and everyone on this board gives up on the season and the coaching staff. Stop taking your anger out on a coach who had very little to do with the loss tonight. It was a tough loss i won’t argue that, but it was ONE loss and the season is defenitely not over.

I agree it’s not on him but I expected better this season to this point. We have to have the next one.

but i will say we are two low percentage shots being missed from possibly being a top 25 team in the nation right now. I will have to disagree with the next one being a must have i think if we can still hold serve on the other road games and win a game or two against either FSU, Syracuse, or UNC and we’ll be ok

A top 25 team would have taken care of business there tonight and not played down to them letting them hang around

You mean an Ap Top 25 team like the Tarholes?

Yeah you’re right a team like that would never play down to their competition against a team like Miami.

Performance, both coaching and playing. Yes, the last shot was lucky and technically won the game, but if not got several blunders it would not have come down to that. Poor shooting, poor coaching, and bad turnovers let Miami even have a chance. It will be hard pressed to beat most teams with the poor 3pt performance like we had tonight. Also, Miami gets hot from 3 and we go to a zone for a few possessions. What coaching genius goes with a zone that is susceptible to giving open 3pt looks to a team that is starting to light it up from 3. As for turnovers you can have your pick of several unforced errors.

It's not over, but it'll be hard. We have to make up this loss with ranked wins, and those are hard to come by. It's frustration of a season full of underperforming, and ultimately almost a decade under Brownell. I know we can still make the tourney, and we have more than enough talent and will be pulling hard for it. But there has to be a change IF it doesn't happen.

Hold on, if they win, he gets credit. If they lose, he doesn’t? Pay raises always seemed to be tied to winning so I’m afraid he does have to bear responsibility for wins as well as losses.

I’m not bashing Brownell. I like him. But it’s simply not the case that he isn’t involved in a loss.

I have to say your argument holds little water. If you want to win games you don’t leave it in the hands of the ref or a lucky shot. You go up 44-16 on them and dare them to try to come back.

Every loss (and win) is “on him.” No good reason to lose to THAT Miami team ( and I am well aware they just took Heels to OT). Let’s see if they rally again, but it would be nice for a team THIS “seasoned” to play EVERY game with some real maturity. Too many silly turnovers and missed opportunities. Running out of chances (and excuses). Hope all of them decide to play w more of a focused edge throughout games.

Don't have a problem with their lucky shot at the end.

It's the last offensive possession by is that was bad. Just not s good possession and ended with a bad low percentage shot. It just seems to happen with this team at the end of a 1 possession game.

It’s not just one shot. The team played awful the first ten minutes of the game. Garbage turnovers which happen every game. It gets old

It’s not about one shot and it’s not about one loss. It’s about a coach who doesn’t have his team ready to play when the season is on the line every game, sloppy turnovers, repetitive issues that aren’t fixed, allowing Elijah Thomas to become a ghost. He just doesn’t check the boxes.

You’re obviously the fan that would continue to say the same thing year after year after year even if we came up short every season, learn from it. Brownell doesn’t have the juice. He’s tommy Bowden just like some other guy said on the board.

The reality of the situation is clear. There is not much difference if any between the talent levels at Miami and Clemson. The line was only 3.5 and showed there is not much difference between them.
If Miami had played Ga Tech X2, Wake and Pitt at home and Va Tech without Richardson, the Canes would have had the better record.
