Grabbed the middle of the jersey.

He was, but in fairness to Georgia, there was a play with

Gurley, I believe, that wasn't called on us where just a little more collaring and Gurley's knee would have been destroyed.

Saw the highlight and it still looked fine.

Mea culpa pending rewatching the whole game when I get home.

Looked like neck of the jersey

Sep 1, 2013, 12:12 PM

WHich, I believe, is legal as long as you don't get the pads.

Rule 9, article 15 from NCAA rulebook
Horse Collar Tackle
ARTICLE 15. All players are prohibited from grabbing the
inside back collar of the shoulder pads or jersey, or the
inside collar of the side of the shoulder pads or jersey,
and immediately pulling the ball carrier down.

Yeah it was worse looking than the one they called on us later.

Lol no it wasn't. The one that got called on Breeland could've destroyed the guy's knee.

You obviously need to look at the one on Sammy and he was almost injured. My point was they both should have been called.

I liked the one where Jenkins threw down McDowell after

Sep 1, 2013, 12:08 PM

the whistle was blowing for a few seconds. Bunch of SEC refs standing around - did nothing. Didn't even warn the guy.

That's not the way the game is supposed to be played. It was CLEARLY unsportsmanlike conduct and should have been 15 yards, no questions asked.

But not in the SEC. I guess those refs are used to the PED-ridden, thug behavior, so to them it just appears normal.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

That was the biggest missed call I think,

Sep 1, 2013, 12:14 PM

Everybody saw it, and the whistles had been blown for like 3 seconds, then he just shoves Hot Rod. Classless UGA

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Looked like Jersey

Sep 1, 2013, 12:09 PM

You can grab the inside of the jersey if you don't get the pads.

Same ref, 2 different plays

Sep 1, 2013, 12:11 PM

1) call our TE OOB while staring at his foot stay in bounds (luckily overruled by replay)

and

2) Spotted the ball inside the 1 line late, when the UGA runner clearly stepped out with the ball at the 3. That was actually potentially a big play because it forces them to run something other than the sneak, and probably eats up more clock.

But, I also thought we had a few calls go our way (or calls which weren't reviewed which should have been).

Pretty much like any other game.
