I think belk is a very talented DT from what I saw in HS and all American game. Def a big loss but what gets me the most about all this is, we could have prob landed another very talented recruit that would have stayed true to being a Tiger. Belk seems like he wanted to be at uscjr all along, why even waste both our team and his time by signing with clemson. His mom might be sick idk the situation but I don’t buy that as the reason he left for a sec. He was a coot at heart and couldn’t take it here, not meaning he was too soft or not talented enough but just couldn’t make it bc he wanted to be in Cola.

According to my Coot friends, he was lied to about getting early playing time before our DLine decided to return. Didn’t want to sit or be redshirted a year. Well guess what? Now he has to sit out a year for transferring. Solid logic. Only difference is he switched quality of programs.

Somewhere out there an 18-year-old kid, same as JB, is enrolled at their 2nd choice school because we don't oversign and instead play by the rules. It's not what JB did to Clemson or the fan base - we're larger than any one player - it's what he did to one of his peers by costing someone an opportunity to be here.

Belk committed believing he would start his Freshman year, but he started off so low in the rotation, he felt he wouldn't get any playing time. He wanted to come to Clemson to become a highly developed player, but he wound up doubting how much playing time he would ever realistically get. I don't blame him. He will get all the playing time he wants at SC, he just won't reach his full potential.
