Dave Doeren has turned down an offer from Tennessee and will stay at N.C. State.

Doeren is expected to agree to a new contract with the Wolfpack.

He goes 8-4 with a losses to South Carolina and Wake Forest in what was supposed to be THE year for NC State football and he gets a raise and extension.

State loses a lot off the defense for next year. Will likely be 6-6 or 7-5. LOL

He must be winning a lot of games against the FCS because we already know he can't even beat SCAR out of conference.

He had built a solid team this year with experienced senior 2-3 star recruits and still had a pretty disappointing season.

However, he did beat he Tar Heels, so ...

But now that all those guys are gone, what does he do to earn his keep at NC State for the next 2-3 years while he tries to reload?

mentions the loss on Dline but still expects to win 9 games next season with a few thinking 10!

i'll have whatever they are drinking.

One wolfpack friend was mad at me for stating that Doeren was Butch 2.0 and said that Doeren is a good coach and the Vols would be lucky to have him. I had to send him VolNations poll of whether they would support Dave as Tennessee HC. 98% said no!

It didn't begin with Doeren, but NCSU is a perpetual 3-star haven with a .500 level winning tradition to go along with it.

At least Tennessee has strong tradition, nice facilities, and a huge fan following.

Of course, it may just be the expectations that go along with all those things that have Dave ducking for cover in Raleigh.
