Va Tech. They they are playing really well and their Atlantic opponents are BC and Cuse. Already beat BC. They get Miami at home.

That's a one tough call to make.

Oct 3, 2016, 10:55 PM

Miami and North Carolina are at the top, following by Virginia Tech and Pittsburgh. But Georgia Tech and Duke are the wildcards that certainly can change the whole scenarios in that division. And don't rule out Virginia just yet. They have some talents in the team. (There are a few 5-star players out of high school.) With a good coach, that team can improve going into the season.

North Carolina has definitely played in tougher schedule so far this year. We'll know more about Miami this week against Florida State.

That's one deep division from top to bottom this year.

Agree. I decided to ask this question when I realized UNC and VT were playing this weekend. Plus Miami and FSU.

Going to be a fun weekend of college football again.

Well...

Right now, it's easy to just pick Miami or North Carolina.

But one thing for anyone who has watched college football long enough, you can expect the unexpected.

Remember one of these teams as the potential playoff teams? Florida State, Oklahoma, TCU, Notre Dame, Michigan State, Oregon, USC, Georgia, LSU and Ole Miss.

Last week, it was still Louisville as the ACC champions.

Back in 2009 after the end of 2008 season, someone kept telling me Virginia was a cupcake. Well, they went 5-7 that season, but I told him to go check Virginia's combined record in the past 20 years. To his surprise, Virginia had better records than Clemson. That said, that team has gone downhill since then. (Go to check it yourself it you don't believe me.)

I'm not betting that Virginia will win the ACC Coastal, but I wouldn't rule them out just yet. They have talents there, that's for sure. With a good coach, they could do some damage in that division. (Not saying they have talents in the same level as ours.)

North Carolina

Agreed - GT will probably play spoiler

Duke has a Fr QB that is either great (@ ND) or hot garbage (home - 5 ints vs UVA.) UVA has a good coach and some leftover talent from the previous coaching staff. VT's coaching staff is solid and they will be competitive with everyone. UNC and Miami dont look like theyre good enough to run the table. Should be fun to watch.

I would rather have Miami than the tarholes***

There will be some really complicated 4 way tie

Oct 4, 2016, 1:12 AM

Between Miami, VT, UNC, and duke/GT where they all have the same conference record and the tiebreakers are too complicated to figure out so Swoffie will hire a 3rd party to determine the best team, which will, of course, be determined to be UNCheat

I think the Heels will take it.***
