We should have won that game by a minimum of 17.

Too many plays hurt. Stoudt throwing the ball into the dirt when Leggett was open on 3rd and goal on the first drive (and Lakip missing the subsequent FG try), the snap over Deshaun's head at the goalline, Alexander falling while playing press man on 2nd and forever to give up a 70 yard TD, and your aforementioned fumble.

According to people much closer to the program than me....

....they say that is THE game where Jimbo lost the respect of the team. The way he handled Jamies in the pre-game, and then even allowing him to stay on the sideline during the game, was - according to those guys - was where the team saw that Jimbo played favorites and would basically let Jamies do whatever he wanted.

I'm not surprised after our game it looked like yall were just playing not to lose and out talented everyone until the Oregon game. Its remarkable what a difference there was between the 2013 and 2014 FSU teams.

That loss made me stop watching CU football for the rest of the season. A team that didn’t want to win that badly did not deserve my time each week.
I understand this is “flame worthy”, but it’s the truth.

No flaming but seriously brother...if you quit watching for the remainder of the season, you should probably consider another hobby. It's a game. Enjoy life! That season still had some wonderful moments! 35-17 win over the coots. (Deshaun getting it done on one leg)
Stomping the Sooners 40-6. (Cole getting some redemption and ballin out)
All 3 losses that season were weird. GA, FSU and GT. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the ride because that's what we do as fans! ???

That Back-Up FSU Quarterback Should Was Spared ---

He should have been ripped apart and left for dead.
I felt really bad for M. Alexander too for falling down on that pass. I just kneww that could never happen to him.

After that game, I really felt that Clemson football was just cursed and would never get over the hump. Glad I was wrong.

Oh man.....most painful loss in my time as a Clemson fan
May 28, 2020, 4:21 PM

I was in Pittsburgh for a wedding and watching in a bar downtown with some family members. Most of the other people in the place were rooting for Clemson, especially after seeing that we were Clemson fans.
At one point, some guy brought me to the bar and bought me a shot “to help calm my nerves.” Right as I was taking it, the play where Mac Alexander fell down on the long TD pass happened and I almost threw it back up.
After they scored in OT I stormed outta there and wandered around drunk for a little while in disbelief. There have been some disheartening losses in the past, but I think that was the hardest one to take
