Larry. Sad. If it went several weeks that would be one thing. But for this to be plan A is a weak selection.

Actually a good move. He can rebuild the program for a younger coach to take over. Mack won't be expected to be there more than 4-5 yrs. That's a long time for a young coach to have to spend rebuilding a program and then be canned in the 6th or 7th yr. UNC fans love Mack Brown. They were devastated when he left for Texas. But Mack knew that UNC would never be a dominant FB program. Dean Smith was the God at UNC. I'm sure Mack resented that after he had made the FB team really relevant.
