Dabo is really missing out on some royalty money. I just got back from my MBA trip to Europe and saw this at FC Benfica's stadium in Lisbon.

For the gazillionth time. Dabo did not coin the phrase. He

has no rights to it.

Sorry. Should have known you geniuses wouldn't get it

Facetious: meant to be humorous or funny : not serious

I'm well aware that its a poker term. I know I live in Alabama, but we do have TV here...and all ESPN shows is reruns of the world series of poker...and SEC highlights.

Dabo can not copyright nor trademark the phrase "All In" as he did not originate it and he clearly can not prove he did since it has been a well known and long standing poker term.

People have used it beyond poker for years.

Please find an example of someone using it on a major sport team before Dabs. I still think it is cheesy, but give the man credit. Auburn, Red Sox, etc...he was before all of them.

lol people have been saying all in for years, dabo is hardly

original. as popular as poker is on tv i'm shocked no one used it much sooner in that context. they probably did we just don't know it.

Of course that is where is came from. He used poker chips in the beginning. No one is claiming he invented phrase, just that all these other teams are copying him. Again, please find a case of a team using the phrase before Dabo.

Did Dabo only start using it in 2001? Or in 2008 when

Aug 17, 2012, 4:02 PM

he took over? I'm not a Clemson fan, but I don't recall Dabo saying "all in" during the 2010 season when you finished 6-7. Auburn, however, was using it in 2010, and although I can't prove it, I'm sure they were using it before their national championship season.

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong though.

You are wrong.

Aug 17, 2012, 4:14 PM

Dabo first used “all in” when he was named interim coach.
