UNC's defense made the reasonable, if ultimately fatal, decision to sell out and stop the run, figuring a ture freshman might mess up enough to giver their offense a chance to keep them in the game.
Nope.
I imagine NC State took notes, and I don't anticipate the same approach. If I'm guessing, they'll play two deep, which should loosen up the run defense a bit.
Before chucking out O Line under the bus, I'm interested in seeing how things go against a defense that isn't packed slid against the line.
FWIW, NC State isn't in the top 50 in sacks, third down defense, scoring defense or rushing defense. We should ... underline should move the ball on the Wuffies.

Of course, NCSU couldn't play the run the same way Clemson did with Winston out, but they gave up about 160 more yards on the ground than we did.

emerge against a defense primed to stop our QB and passing game.
It could all fall onto Watson's shoulders if they don't step it up and he doesn't have the bulk to take a bunch of shots.

Personally, I say we don't ever risk losing Watson using him for a RB. Scrambling to buy some time OK, but never as a runner. If we don't have a RB that is capable of running the ball, hand it to a TE, DE, or even an athletic lineman. But please never use DeShaun as we used Tajh Boyd. DeShaun has the best arm that we've seen behind center in like forever. Please Chad don't put him at high risk of injury, b/c it will happen.

Don't sleep on NC State's ability to the run the ball, I watched the FSU game and they had some hard nosed runners.
