So, the old ACC (less Syracuse and Pitt) is only worthy of 3

teams in the tourney (Duke, UNC and Virginia). That seems like BS to me. We had 6 teams in the tourney when we were a 9 team league. I think the mid majors are a little over-rated. Lets see how many of the non BCS schools make it to the sweet 16

The Unholy Alliance (UNC and Duke) destroyed ACC basketball

The ACC refs have cheated so much for UNC and Duke, that traditional ACC powers like GT, WF, Maryland, NCSU have fallen off. NCSU used to be a national powerhouse in basketball. They are well below that level now because of the Unholy Alliance. All the schools I have mentioned used to be dream jobs, and now big name and hot up and coming coaches avoid those place like the plague because of the Unholy Alliance.

I hate UNC and Duke, but Wake and GaTech made bad coaching

hires, Maryland ran off Gary Williams and NC State still has a shot. I think State or Clemson should get in, depending on their finish. For Palm to say Clemson is not even on the bubble, something is wrong.

Until Wichita St beats a team in the top 35 in the RPI they

are not a no. 1 seed. The bottom of the ACC is bad and that brings the rest of the league down.

Va Tech beat W Vir. BC beat Washington, Miami beat Arizona

State, Ga Tech beat Georgia, Wake beat So. cal. ND beat Indiana.
Now while none of those wins is against a Top 20 team, they show that our conference is not that bad.

Want to give Marshall and the Shockers all the credit they deserve, cuz they are a good team....but they've played practically nobody---its worse than an SEC team's OOC football schedule.
But who, out of the bottom of the ACC---EXCEPT possibly NCSt---are you going to see in the Big Dance?? Clemson's got the best chance after the top 6 teams, but our RPI (especially with that loss to Auburn--even though it was a road game) is awful right now and will necessitate winning most of the remainder of our regular season games AND having a decent showing in the Tournament.
VaTech, GaTech, BC, Wake, Miami and Notre Dame just bite the big one,....and FlaSt and UMd have all but disappeared.
I think WichitaSt will lose in the first round of the NCAA tournament, and I think if they make it, Clemson's gonna give somebody a real hard time.

Syracuse and Pitt have elevated ACC BB. Louisville will do likewise. The ACC is and will be king of CBB for a long while. UNC, Duke, Syr, Pitt, Loisville, Miami, FSU, CU, WF etc etc, holy good god, plus Va. and NCSU, BC and GT...well, the ACC will be kings of CBB for a long while. As for Clemson, it is kind of like what SC faces in the SEC in FB, hard to see a championship ahead in such a neighborhood. Is what it is. Lucky for Clemson FB fans that the ACC is not the SEC as far as winning championships in CFB, but winning the ACC in Basketball with Syracuse, Duke, UNC, Pitt, Louisville etc. Is as hard a job as the GCC's have in winning an SEC FB championship.

have given undue credit to mid majors. Just because a couple teams made it far doesn't mean they all should get the same treatment.
