at least five of their current commitments are sign-and-place.
The main reason $CU got them was because other schools backed-off once it became clear they were likely not going to qualify academically and become a sign-and-place.

They're not going to have some of their most talented pickups. It's probably half the reason they got/will get them once other teams moved on.

when, for whatever reason, a recruits top choices don't work-out.
There are just too many other schools throughout the southeast that are better both athletically and academically compared to $CU.
