Shout out to Wando High School !!

Saturday they won State Championships in men's track. Tonight they won State in baseball. They won men's Lacross last month. They won men's basketball last year.

I have donated a little to their baseball team via the coupon card thing the past few years glad to see they are doing great. My little one coming in less than 2 months will more than likely be a Warrior eventually.

haha Im actually a pretty friendly guy. I try to be very welcoming to our guests in Death Valley.

a team that finished 25-8 when over the last ~15 years they've had numerous teams finish the regular season with 1-3 losses that really dominated down here, and always flamed out early in the playoffs.

Ummm.... this from a school with 4,000 students. Nearly 1,000 more than every other AAAA school in our glorious state.

What's most impressive about the Baseball State Championship is they did it in spite of the coaching. Without a doubt, the kids won it on talent. Good for them, they earned it.

Ueah , but their football sucks . Always has . When I went to Berkeley in the mid 80's we looked at the Wando game as almost a week off .
Not sure why they aren't better , or better yet why the Charleston County school board hasn't decided to build that second HS in Mt. Pleasant that they so obviously have a need for.
4000+ students ?

I live in Florence all 3 HSs use to be 4A,I believe Wilson is 3A now. If we could combine 2 of those schools into one big school they would be unstoppable. All 3 schools are usually decent but very few championships.

They approved plans to build it but cant start until the Middle School is complete.
Right now those kids are going to the old Wando High School location. The new High School will be built at that site.
The big question that has yet to be answered is where will the shared football stadium be built.

Are you really not sure why they haven't been better at football? The answer is actually the same as why they are so good at Lacrosse.

Back in my day, all we had was basketball and band to cheer for. Still played football at Jasper Green at Moultrie, and by halftime the games were bad enough that everyone was heading to the Krispy Kreme down the street.
