Should Reed be bringing the ball up the court

Feb 16, 2018, 8:41 AM

Instead of Mitchell. It looked to me that Mitchell seemed to have
a hard time getting up the floor against FSU. Reed looks much smoother
doing the same thing. When defended closely on the dribble Mitchell
looks almost out of sorts.

I'm no coach but it appeared to lead to alot of TO's when he was closely guarded.

It also takes more seconds off the shot clock.

Did anyone else think that?

I think he's fine he just needs to quit with the loose/And1

style dribbling. Behind the back through his legs, trying to break ankles..he was trying to be too flashy wednesday night and he got caught up. WE just need a controlled, boring, ball handler in those moments. I know you can dribble Sheldon but save that style for Fike or Calhoun Courts.

I expect you'll see plenty of Reed bringing it up Sunday

since it is unlikely Mitchell will be playing. But Reed gets pretty sloppy with the ball, too.

like to me like everyone was sloppy

Against that D and I’d prefer Reed not having to work that hard every play

Reed needs to get a break occasionally. Didn't he play every

minute? I think that is why he missed those 2 shorter floaters, near end of regulation

No Reed is the one having problems bringing the ball up. He just needs to drive all the way up and stop cross dribbling at the midcourt every time down. That's when they pic him. If Clemson has even the slightest chance of winning it has to be devoe scoring 25 , Reed with 20, Thomas with 15. Minimum. Because we don't get much help off the bench. Skara has to play his best game of the year and Trapp can't shoot the ball to save his life. Another defensive player wonder recruit by Brownell. Last game he shot 2 airballs wide open. Just no sense of touch on the ball. And that's coming from a 90percent three throw shooter and 45% from downtown. I would know. Hate all u want, but the reality is that Clemson needs some surprises in different areas it hasn't been getting production at to win against Duke.

Haha what? Reed turns the ball over more than any player on the team.... he gets pocket picked too often. Trapp can bring it up or devoe
