Serious Question About Boyd

I saw someone post last year that Boyd is only as good as the system he's in. Now that Chad's system is hurting (from poor play and injuries) is this why we're seeing Boyd less productive - because the system just isn't working right now? Or is his inaccurate throws, hurries, missteps, all on Boyd?

Boyd himself said he had been pressing too hard. That he was trying to be everything to the younger players. Football hasn't been fun the last few games for him.

Boyd's skills are suited to the system that we run.

But he's got a lot of youth at receiver that I don't believe he trusts. Our offense is really built on options and reading the defense, very often our receivers are reading the defense incorrectly and running the wrong routes. So Boyd is confused because the receivers are confused. Add to that that our OL has not played well the last few games and it puts more pressure on Boyd. While I don't believe that defenses have figured out our offense (because defensive coordinators know how to stop offenses, they just often don't have the personnel to do the job), I do believe that defenses know that they can confuse our offense by their defensive alignments and blitzes. And our offense is no different than any other, it needs to be able to run effectively to be successful.
