Scoreboard Update

No pictures this time, but I've been making them for the last several days and will post a photographic timeline sometime this weekend. The Indoor Practice Facility is going to be an enormous building. But about the scoreboards. I talked to one of the guys from Daktronics today at Death Valley and he told me several things. First, the arch on top of the Death Valley scoreboard is going to be removed and raised three feet. Then, the entire top of the scoreboard will be enclosed to protect the speakers from the weather. Obviously, the field side will be fabric, but everything else will be concrete or brick. The new scoreboard at Riggs Field will resemble the one at Death Valley in design. He said the new screen in Death Valley will be the same video quality as the one at Turner Field, it just won't be as big. They're going to cover the non-functioning signs at Doug Kingsmore with metal and install signs on it. I wish they'd cover the back with brick so it will match Death Valley and Riggs. The brickwork at Riggs will start going up tomorrow.

the scoreboard was updated at DV. I seem to remember it wasn't too long ago (not over 5 years). Txs.
