Sammy's suspension has been announced

May 29, 2012, 4:52 PM

TCI is reporting that Sammy will sit the first two games of the season.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

And now, I firmly believe....

May 29, 2012, 4:55 PM

that Korncoot and KMac should be suspended for an entire year..........if not for eternity

Re: Sammy's suspension has been announced

May 29, 2012, 4:55 PM

Why not 3. But he can shake the rust/delay off in the furman game if this is true it fits the crime and am proud dabo and co. took the high road. Ps why say it now and not later?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

yeah i think this punishment is fair

May 29, 2012, 4:58 PM

has to pay for his mistakes and making him miss a big game should help him learn.

May 29, 2012, 5:27 PM [ in reply to Re: Sammy's suspension has been announced ]

IMO 2 games is too much

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Seems fair to me.

May 29, 2012, 5:30 PM

The guy got busted with weed and prescription drugs. Can't have that.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Seems fair to me.

May 29, 2012, 5:37 PM

well im not advocating what he did...but with when it happened theres more options to punish him ....I think 1 game plus a ton of in house stuff would have been better

May 29, 2012, 10:54 PM [ in reply to HoneyBadger says Hello with his one game missed*** ]

It's probably just a 1 game suspension with an additional 1 game ACC penalty, you know to uphold the integrity of the conference...

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Good deal***

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Very, Very Excited. Very, Very Proud.

More than enough. I expect Sammy to accept it like

May 29, 2012, 5:30 PM

the man he is. I then expect him to play the remaining games like a Heisman candidate that has to make up for two lost games of jaw-dropping highlight film.

Re: More than enough. I expect Sammy to accept it like

May 29, 2012, 5:33 PM

this sends a CLEAR MESSAGE to those thugs in cootville how things should be handled

badge-donor-15yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

And more importantly to the rest of the team.

May 29, 2012, 5:35 PM

If Sammy is not above a stern punishment, NO ONE is.

Yep, as the old Texas judge once said...

agree! but just the price we have to pay to do things right as opposed to the thugs in cootville!

badge-donor-15yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Whatever, man. I say we still take them.

May 29, 2012, 5:37 PM [ in reply to There goes the Auburn game**** ]

Nuke, Jaron, Bryant and Peake are a great WR group. If our new DC has our defense ready, I am not worried about our offense.

We can beat aubarn without sammy

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

If we cant beat AU without Sammy then this team isnt

May 29, 2012, 5:42 PM

good at all this year as AU is a 7-5 team at best

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: There goes the Auburn game****

May 29, 2012, 5:40 PM [ in reply to There goes the Auburn game**** ]

Clemson is loaded at WR and will still beat AU without Sammy

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I'm sure Numbers 6, 19, 1, 18, 16, and 80 will have

May 29, 2012, 6:36 PM [ in reply to There goes the Auburn game**** ]

something to say about that...

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Saying isn't doing. They need to "do like Sammy". And don't

May 29, 2012, 10:40 PM

get me wrong, those players are all good, especially Hopkins, which in my opinion is as good as Sammy. But other than Hopkins, the others are not Sammy, at least not yet.

There is a song out now called "Move Like Jagger", well some of the other 4 and 5 star receivers that have had flashed of brilliance, are going to have to "Move Like Sammy".

I think Bryant is going to be a great one though.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

BS! This Will Motivate

the Tigers to take care of Auburn on National TV. Sammy's plight will be the early topic on the game but the Tigers will prove that they are a team that doesn't hinge everything on one single player.

badge-donor-05yr.jpgmilitary_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

the rest of our wr corp will step up their game,

May 30, 2012, 4:23 AM [ in reply to There goes the Auburn game**** ]

and we'll overcome his absence.i think the rb's will do the same for the loss of bellamy.

from thuggish/criminal student-athletes, it'd be some lame-azz chickentroll

Every thing happens for a reason
What if he had played and gotten hurt and was out the whole year
Some times good things come out of bad situations

Better research

May 29, 2012, 6:07 PM

More because when we broke the law we were suspended. Maybe some of you dont know the diff in breaking team rules and breaking the law. I happen to like sammy and hopes this helps humble him more. Auburn should still be a win for you guys even with sammy gone.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Better research

Someone please provide this cockerel with facts
Seems to me the cockerel's had a coach that was arrested for violating a law and was not suspended for any games

He was docked $$$ and is not eligible for a raise for another 4 years. Correct me if I'm wrong, if someone else out there knows more. but that's pretty darn severe.

I have read that as well. Mangus didn't get a raise with everyone else this past year. I don't know how long he has to go without a raise but I know he was not eligible this go around. I think he is the lowest paid coach on SCAR's staff so his public pee cost him at least 5 figures.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

May 29, 2012, 11:19 PM [ in reply to Better research ]

February 2007: A month after Garcia enrolled early at USC, he was indefinitely suspended after being arrested in Five Points for drunkenness and failure to stop on police command. He was reinstated the day after his suspension was announced.

March 2007: Two weeks after his first arrest, Garcia was arrested again. This time for vandalizing a visiting professor's car -- "keying" the car -- and then was suspended from spring practice.

March 2008: Garcia was charged with underage drinking and, in a separate incident, was questioned about a fire extinguisher discharged in a dorm. It was announced Garcia's suspension would run through Aug. 15, but he was reinstated two weeks earlier on Aug. 1 -- in time for the start of fall practice.

May 29, 2012, 6:33 PM

Starting to get desperate. Cant name a player who are the ones on the field last time I checked. Mangus was suspended. research my friend. Research!

"Indefinitely" coming from someone who has no idea the meaning of the word

Man, I'm starting to think that you can't completely believe EVERYTHING that you read on this news source!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Sammy's suspension has been announced

May 29, 2012, 9:16 PM

Believe nothing you hear, and only 1/2 what you see

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Jmho but I think 1 game would have sufficed.

May 29, 2012, 9:21 PM

The public embarrassment was enough.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Sammy's suspension has been announced

May 29, 2012, 11:05 PM

I'd say a half would have been sufficient...smoking some weed and using prescription pills to help study covers roughly 90% of college students. I remember my roommate and I were prescribed to ADD meds and we would clean house the last week or two of the semester.

It'd be nice/smart if the state of South Carolina woke up and just decriminalized marijuana. It's saving lots of money in police/court costs, plus allows stupid stuff like this to go without severe punishment.

They sure looked bad with him out vs ncstate last year and the fact you have to replace the whole oline and dline

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

at least have you're facts right when you try and bash us

May 30, 2012, 4:30 AM

we didn't lose the whole o-line,or d-line.having all of fall camp to prepare for sammy's absence will only strengthen the rest of our wr's,and boyd will have plenty of options with nuke, peake, bryant, humphries, and ford. auburn will also get to meet mr. hopper, as the rest of the country will, also.
