Those 'brothers' need to tell the truth. Tucker deserves better.

Prayers for his family and friends.

I just have a hard time believing that if they had done something wrong, they could all keep their story straight for the police.

Most Tiger fans have been across that bridge

Nov 21, 2014, 1:12 AM

many times. I don't see how anybody can accidently fall of the bridge. IMO, the only way you can end up in the river is to go over the barrier and jump off or, be thrown off. I hope the family gets more answers.

"early morning activity run"

Nov 21, 2014, 5:08 AM

Anyone who pledged knows exactly what that is. Chances are he only knew it was happening when his brothers woke him and made him run in whatever he wore to bed that night. It's hazing. I was hazed and so is/was every other fraternity member at Clemson. They get by with saying "oh it was optional," which is true...optional if you want to continue being a pledge.

His parents know it, every person in a Greek organization at Clemson knows it too. But because everyone seems to be in denial, nothing will be done about it.

There's something in these hills.

Why won't something be done?
What is the purpose of allowing these "organizations" on a campus? Do any benefits they bring a school outweigh the losses of young life that they cause? (Yeah, I said cause.)
Is it really a good thing to foster a network of young men who pledge such a high degree of secrecy that not a one will be transparent when something as grievous as this occurs?

It sounds like parents and others are banding together to put a stop to the stupidity. Tucker's mom mentioned Nolan Burch in another article. Maybe they'll raise further awareness and get the crap contained.

It has a lot to do with tradition.***

what i saw wasn't hazing

Nov 21, 2014, 8:43 AM [ in reply to "early morning activity run" ]

i saw these kids several times in the early morning hours, outside running or inside at Fike working out

looked to me like they were enjoying themselves

i never saw one who looked uncomfortable or under any duress

i was out running the morning Mr. Hipps fell, but i didn't see them that day.

If he died as a result of hazing, those responsible

Nov 21, 2014, 7:55 AM

Should be put in prison for the better part of their lives. Take someone's life, you should pay for it. I have zero sympathy for the people responsible if there were any.
