Saban was willing to gamble on replacing the 2016 SEC offensive POY with a true freshman because he could not make plays down field and stretch the field. His gamble won them another natty. Dabo was not willing to replace KB under almost identical circumstances with a QB that was much higher rated coming into college ( #21 HJ, #57 Tua).Dabo's failure to gamble cost us an opportunity to win the game. Maybe this will help having the courage to do the right thing. Saban will be considered GOAT.

You realize in hypothetical's there is more than just one favorable outcome, right?

Imagine if Dabo put HJ in and he threw 3 interceptions, because that's just as possible as him coming in and winning the game.

Also, recruiting rankings are great and all, but they really don't mean jack #### after players are on campus.

So you are saying that putting HJ in and MAYBE losing is worse than leaving KB in and actually losing. I don't get your logic.

No, I'm not saying that. I'm simply offering a counter point hypothetical to everyone who for some reason believes that if Dabo put in Johnson we would have magically won the ball game.
