Unacceptable. Anything under 5 star average loses me.

Really if we’re gonna give 110%

It should be a 5.5 average or they need to keep their hands off the rock

Has Rivals ever had a team with 5 5stars and still not ranked in the top 10?

I never thought I would see the day that we have more 5 stars than Alabama, FSU, and Ohio State combined.

Ain't that the truth! Especially given how well they have recruited recently.

Of course, part of it is a facade. They sign 25 everything b/c half of them are gone by year 3 due to transfers, discipline issue, cut from team, NFL, etc.

I always click on the AVG rating too, gives a better idea of the Quality of the class over the quantity. When we're 12th and the Coots are 17th based just on the points and number of recruits it makes it look closer than it really is. The sheer Quality of our class is night and day from their and others for that matter. It'll be a top 3 class after the first week of FEB regardless. We get Ross and O'neal its a wrap.

What rank are the coots in average?

23rd or 24th.

We are 3. It's amazing we have 5 5* recruits with a potential of a 6th w Ross and hopefully adding another high 4 in O'Neal and Gouraige.

Crazy how quantity can make the rankings so different.

Clemson's average point value is 138, SC is 82

Posted: Jan 25, 2018 10:17 AM

138 is the point value of the 170th ranked recruit in the nation. (Think Austin Bryant)
82 is the point value of a middle of the road 3 star. (Think Cannon Smith or Sterling Johnson, no offense to these 2 intended)
If this keeps up Thanksgiving weekend is going to get even uglier for the coots. My Columbia relatives have already started having a separate Thanksgiving from the Clemson contingent.

they’re going to be pretty solid if Richt keeps it up. Top class in ACC, so far.

Little Miami? You do realize they have 5 nattys.

How about Army and Navy

signing 83 and 69 players respectively. That's one way to find a diamond in the rough,....just sign a whole team.

These rankings are always such a joke and based on numbers. We have 15 signees 5 5*, 5 4*, and 5 3*.

Give me quality over quantity any day. And let's look at the 3 stars.
Galloway- TE- I have a good feeling about this kid. Former basketball guy. Has a big upside. I think he will be our next big producer at TE. But I think he gets the redshirt this year.

Potter is not a 3 star from what I have seen. He will complete with Huegel next year.

McFadden- OL- fair. He will contribute down the line.

Jeffries- DT- Fair. Will contribute down the line.

Venables- LB- expect a heady player that will also develop into a solid contributor.

My point is I feel really good about our 3*. A couple I expect to become stars.

Don't you think the coots feel good about their 15?
