Davis and gurley is different players. Gurley is a more of a power back. If we don't stop the run sat Clemson is going to have a long day I hope gurley will be stopped immediately.

They will run plenty of play action, particularly wheel routes and passes into the flats.

Because of his size, Beasley is regarded as being suspect against the run. I expect UGA to run right at him. Stopping their running game will be a tall order. Hopefully our D is sick of hearing about how good they are.

My thought is that our run defense against UGA will be more like it was against Hyde and OSU in the Orange Bowl than how it fared against UGA in game 1 last year. it seemed to get much better as the season progressed. I expect we contain Gurley and Marshall much better than we did last year. If so, it could be a good night for the Tigers. I guess we'll see.

In a related topic... I'm hoping Tony Steward has a coming out party. It may be necessary to bring my aforementioned expectations to fruition.

We will not stop Gurley - he's going to get his yards (but hopefully between the 30's). I'm guess anything under 150 yards for him is a success for our D. Under 100 yards would probably mean that UGA got their muttbutts kicked and their fans left at halftime.
