that was BY FAR the loudest i have ever heard in Death Valley. The ground and stadium was literally shaking.

Had to be the Miami game. I've been to over a hundred games in Death Valley and that was definitely the loudest. Literally could feel the noise pounding in your chest.

the heat. Once the sun got below the decks, it started to ramp up and creshendoed in the 4th. It was so loud that my eardrums "shut-down"; it became a dull hum.

It was so loud you could not hear anymore. You were screaming and yet it seemed to be quiet. The '81 Clemson-UGA game was very similar.

I just remember my roommate repeatedly punching me as hard as he could in the chest after Bennett got that last sack. One of the best moments of my sporting life.

I was convinced that if Whitehurst hit Stuckey on that corner route for a TD, the ground was going to split open.
