Wal-Mart is a strange place

Went to Wally World with the family this afternoon, and noticed an elderly woman in a motorized wheel chair. It had one of those old times bicycle type flags, purple with CLEMSON TIGERS in orange letters.

I got closer, and she had a tiger paw sticker on the back and an “All In” sticker on the seat back.

I told her I liked her flag, and she said “Well I am going to have to get another one, because my grandson is a football coach, and he is moving from Memphis to Florida.” A little skeptical, I asked what her grandson’s name was, and she said “Mike Norvell”.

Then the floodgates opened. I think I know more about Mike Norvell than anyone other than himself and his grandma.

She said she was very worried about that, but that her grandson comes first.

In many towns that's the only place you can shop.Wally World cut my drug cost from 159.00 a month to 12.00 bucks. I no longer make fun of Wall Mart shoppers.

she was there alone. And I asked her if he had grown up around here.

Let me just say that all families have their share of dysfunction. But I totally believe that she was who she said she was.

Neat story! I avoid shopping there if I can do so locally though I think Amazon is returning them the favor.

Too bad she’ll have to see him lose to Clemson as an FSU fan.
