They lost several key players, including their whole weekend starting rotation, from a team that wasn't really all that good last year.

To suggest that a team which is clearly going through a rebuilding phase is at the same level in college baseball as Duke and UNC are in college basketball is an unbelievably ignorant and deluded statement even by u of 5c standards.

South Carolina is more like Villanova. Pretty good historically, caught lightning in a bottle for 2 national titles.
