and won't. There are some fans that would have told you that even if we made it to 8-0 all of those undefeated teams would still have stayed ahead of us. Heck some thought we could still get left out if we were undefeated.

They don't need metrics to evaluate Clemson. We're number one because of all the metrics including game control, eyetest, FPI, S&P F+/- but that's not what put us in the top spot. The POC proclaimed "Most complete team in college football.
That's after playing all the meat on our schedule, I do not see anything coming that can change it now!
