do..which should give UGa an advantage...and since I believe their O line might be a tad better..D lines about even, LB'ers about even, DB's about even, kicking game about even..
Saying, ANYONE could win this game!

I give the DB advantage to you guys and the kicking game since our kicker will likely be suspended.

Hey Dawg09..might be right with DB & Kickers..so about EVEN.

IMO it's going to be a barn burner with both QB's ripping up the passing lanes..with D's out of breath..UGa's RB's making some long runs..and maybe it coming down to a FG.

I've honestly learned to keep my expectations about what Georgia will do in check. I've been let down many times, but regardless of what the outcome is I fully expect it to be one hell of a game. This is a game that should be played every year.

our Tiger Brothers seem to only be focused on UGa's young defense. For some reason everyone seems to forget that they have an outstanding QB and a strong stable of RB's in Marshall and Gurley.
Looking at this game logically and it is truly a toss up. We get the edge because its in the Valley. I truly expect this game to be high scoring and fully of offensive playmaking. Its going to come down to one of the teams stepping up on Defense. Clemson might have a slight edge only due to experience. But our Defense last year wasn't good...so does that expereince really matter.
I look for Clemson to win 31-28.

About even you say! Is Murry as good of a Duel threat as Tajh. Does Murry have as good or better receivers as Tajh. Does Murry run a Fast Up temple offense that keeps even good defenses on their heals. Next and last question is, will uga start as good of a D as ours should be with as much two deep experience as our will have. I ask these questions b/c I only saw uga play one game, and it was against the coots, and I wasn't impressed. And uga plays in the same sec east as coots. So lightbulb, just how great do you think uga really is going to be. And just how good do you believe Clemson will be. I'm interested in hearing what you say.

Uga is better than what some of you give them credit for. Murray doesn't run a HUNH, but we actually do run an up tempo offense. I wouldn't brag about your defense yet because they are virtually as unproven as ours. That's not a knock, just an honest objective assessment.

Murray does not have the same caliber receivers and he can't run. However, he still put up the same numbers as Boyd, against better defenses, with less INT's and with fewer sacks. (they did play 1 more game)
They're definitely rebuilding on D, and our O is not what you want your young guys seeing in their first action as a starter. We bring back a ton of experience...but it is experience of guys that got lit up by NCSU and could't get off the field against SC. So we're not exactly the 85 Bears, either.
I give the nod to Boyd, but Murray has the better OL and RB's behind him.

I wouldnt write off the uga receivers. Maybe not as deep as clemson but with malcolm mitchell playing offense only, michael bennet back healthy, and jay rome out there, murray has places to go with the ball. Murray also excels finding one on one's when people load up to stop the run, which you almost have to do with their line and rbs.
All that being said, clemson is gonna score a lot and murray has struggled some in loud hostile enviroments. I would still pick clemson right now but it is because of homefield and the clemson secondary being much more experienced than the uga secondary, not a shortage of targets for murray.

Tajh will be the difference. Having a 225lb running back

at quarterback who can make every throw on the field with touch and accuracy but tuck it and run it when the pass rush beats the blockers or the coverage is too good will be the difference in the game.

does not have to run nearly as much as he did in LSU Game - and I wish Tigers would develop a big running back (Dyer?) for those tough short yardage gains. In addition, I was more impressed with Rod than Ellington in those situations, so there is hope! ALL IN ALL THE WAY TO PASADENA (CALIFORNIA DREAMING)

give us some excellent short yardage options. Would not surprise me to see Dye get a lot of playing time against GA. The coachs' comments this summer indicate they are not satisfied with their returning players at the position and really want to see Dye develop into that big back that we need. I think he'll have every opportunity to prove he deserves playing time right off the bat.

I can't imagine that Dye comes out if August at 220. It would be nice, but August camp us not the place to put in or even maintain weight (especially new weight).

Thats a good point. Murray takes some sacks when pressured and sacks can kill a drive. Boyd does have a much better chance of breaking containment and keeping a drive going via the run.

We will score points on their D no doubt and I expect them to put up some points. But I truly believe the game comes down to our D stopping/slowing down their running game (aka Marshall/Gurley).
There is no question that those two are good backs and if you were on this board during the recruitment of both, then I need not say more to you. But for those who weren't , Clemson and its coaching staff would love nothing more than to stuff it those two

stating that ga. may very well go for it on 4th downs inside our 50. that would indeed put alot of pressure on our d. nothing quite demoralizes that side of the ball like holding court for 3 downs, and then letting the bad guys get that xtra couple yds. on 4th down, when 99% of the time, they are kicking it away.

Some folks run their mouths just for the sake of being heard. What ever Georgia fan said that knows very little about football or knows absolutely nothing about Clemson.

Interesting theory. There is a growing sentiment in the statistical analysis segment of the football world that coaches should go for it on a more regular basis. That being said Rich and company have been pretty darn conservative over the years. I guess I'll believe it when I see it.
