The final result is not likely to be as satisfying as 63-17 or 56-7 was. Good.
We will win, but it will not be as "clean" as many would like it. I hope it is NOT clean because the coots putting up 35 probably helped us win the title that year. We need things to be ashamed of. We need things that keep us focused.
That's why I was happy with the #5 ranking. Saban was right about rat poison. If our biggest opponent is Clemson, then I want us to enter the playoffs hungry.. and hopefully angry.
The year Bama blew us out in the Sugar bowl, we were not angry. In our first natty, we were not angry.
Look, our "rival" is sad and pathetic. We own them and their program is a dumpster fire now. The best use they have to us is to p*** us off somehow.

will satisfy my anger at the cooties. If we win 45-20 I'll be fine.
I think we are going to need extra motivation if we are going to win 3 out of 4 nattys. That's just not something that gets done.
Bama did it 2009, 2011 and 2012.
Brasky did it in 1994, 1995 and 1997
And Notre Dame in the late 40's.

balloting in the coaches poll to do it as well. 22 1st place votes swung to Nebraska following their bowl win over Tennessee which left them 2 points ahead of Michigan. Meanwhile Michigan finished 33 votes ahead of Nebraska in the AP Poll. I'm guessing there was cronyism involved in that massive coaches poll swing as Tom Osborne had been around forever and likely had a lot of influence in coaching circles.
Anyway, currently Alabama doing it in the BCS era is most impressive, but Clemson doing it in the playoff era would be even more impressive IMO.

I disagree on the Sugar Bowl. KB was a good QB but not an accurate QB or one that would throw the ball 25+ yards down the field through the air.
