Why do liberals think tests are a cure

Mar 22, 2020, 4:01 PM

I keep hearing libs scream about testing. If you feel bad stay home. If you get severe symptoms call the doctor or hospital. If you get a test and it’s says you are positive it’s not like they are going to be able to magically cure you.

Because many people that are spreading the virus don't know they are infected.

That’s kind of how all viruses work. You can’t test everyone.

The more people tested the better though.

No one thinks tests are a cure. Data improves models _

for forecasting and identifies those infected so that the can be segregated. This is very important for health care professionals, support personnel as well as 1st responders since these folks come in contact with high risk populations. South Korea used testing data to mitigate their outbreak through aggressive tracing and segregation.

Not everyone. When a doctor orders or individual with fever.

Mar 22, 2020, 10:54 PM

Also family members or other close contacts of confirmed case. Contact testing should be extensive.

Finally first responders, health care professionals including service workers and as necessary family members.

Because they’re emotionally-driven sheep under media mind control. I think the bigger the number of infected, the happier they feel since they’re already convinced its Trumps fault. Someone needs to tell them the CFR rate will drop with higher positive test results.

Angels are real and trump is a good president.

But please, do go on about “emotionally driven sheep”

Memphis,

I think it is really chickenshitt of you to claim that liberals want people to get sick and die for their political purposes.

We can argue all you want, but that kind of thinking is detached from reality.

We are all Americans.

And this is why the infected count is doubling every 2 days. Humans, walking around, who have been told that the incubation period before symptoms can be as long as 2 weeks, who still think that you only need to get tested or stay home when you show symptoms.

Please don't pass along your genes

I am far from being a liberal, but think that testing is

Mar 22, 2020, 6:52 PM

very important. Too many out there will minor or no symptoms spreading the disease. We need a baseline. We need to isolate sick people.

Virus. A coworker of mine that travels with me a lot, she got a fever and was ill for a day or two. She is over dramatic so she goes to her doc and they send her straight to hospital to get tested. She comes back negative. She goes home, take OTC meds and is now good to go.

Waste of a spot at hospital and waste of a test. These media outlets are driving fear and driving people to the ER and overwhelming the system. Not the virus itself, but idiots who have a fever and decide to go to the hospital

Woah, there.

Mar 22, 2020, 7:57 PM

If you get it early and get tested quickly you can get the combo drug and recuperate quickly. Trump's mistake was letting the tail wag the dog. The CDC controlled testing and test kits and not only failed to have enough, they failed when the kits they got couldn't tell the difference between lab water and the virus.

The CDC was an epic fail here and that's why they shouldn't control how states handle testing. It took a while to figure that out.

Fauci was the one saying stay home, that little mouse has blood on his hands too.
