Tennessee will be lucky to go 8-4.
LSU will lose at least 3 games and ESPN has the at #4, which is insane.
Iowa State in the teens feels awfully generous when you look at their schedule.

ND as always.
LSU maybe but every year under O LSU has overperfromed their initial ranking. This year it will catch up w/ LSU.
UGA is not overrated, will perform up to several years of extreme recruiting. Games vs bama, AU and UF are huge bumps tho.
Left Coast teams get regional votes, then don't play up to ratings.
Big 10 teams are usually overrated except for tOSU.

UGa’s problem has never been talent, it is coaching.

Losing to SCAR this year shows how poorly coached they are year after year.
The other problem UGA has always had is bad boys that transfer out to avoid being dismissed. The transfer portal was made for UGA players to move on when things off the field get bad.

You seem reasonable to think that LSU might be overrated next year considering their losses but think that Georgia is legit? Georgia lost their QB, running back, and I think 80% of their offensive line, as well as the O line coach. They have a new OC and are supposedly changing schemes.
I believe LSU and Georgia will probably be in the conversation in years to come, but I think that both are quite overrated in the way too early polls. Maybe that will change in polls that can account for transfers and early draft losses, but I think both are playing for second just in their divisions.

Tennessee will start feasting again on Kentucky, Vandy, SC , Missouri and 3 weak out of conference teams (that they should beat ) yearly . They should be bowl eligible every year here on out

Why Florida?

They've improved a lot both years under Mullen and it's not like they are being placed in the top 5. I think anything in the 7-10 range is perfectly reasonable for Florida.
A lot of people still have LSU around 4 including some who's opinions I respect a good bit. I was surprised by that... you would think all the player and coaching turnover would lead to a least a couple of losses. I would still have LSU top 10 but definitely not top 5. Orgeron needs to prove he can pull off a full rebuild including his two best coaches.

Well, if I understood the question, I took it as teams that are consistently overrated at the beginning of the year and then underperforming their hype. Fla had their run under spurrier but that's it.
However, I agree with myfav . 80% of sec.

Here are some different choices
Jan 25, 2020, 7:17 AM
|
|
1) Alabama: They consistently get the benefit of the doubt. But their coaching carousel if finally catching up with them. They'll start in the top 5 and finish outside the top 15.
2) USC: How many years have we seen the Trojans start in the Top 15 and end up around 40? They haven't put together a decent team in a decade but they always get a lot of preseason hype. It looks like 2020 may be different though. They could start around 40th and end up in the same spot. That would be a refreshing surprise.
3) Texas: There was talk last year about Texas being a real contender for the CFP. They finished 8-5, alright, alright, alright. They get hyped over their individual players (Get ready for Sam Ehlinger for Heisman), but their team consistently under-performs.

Just for the laughs.

UCF .
They're never going to be a National Champion ... and even when they say they are they're not .
Plus , Golden Knights is a stupid name for a mascot . That sounds like a gay stripclub in Orlando .

75% of SEC teams 90% of Pac-12 teams 50% of Big-10 teams 80% of Big-12 teams
and none of the ACC teams. The ACC teams can't be rated any lower than they already are.
