Where Clemson stands in terms of NCAA Tourney hopes...

Keeping BB or letting him go, etc... is another discussion for another day. This is not a post advocating for us to be in the NCAAT. Far from it. It is just merely pointing out where we are and what our chances are.

Fact is, despite how bad yesterday was, we still have a shot to get in. We are currently sitting at #35 in NET and #28 in KenPom. No one knows how te new metrics will play out, so "experts: are all over the place.

Most people tend to look at Lunardi, b/c of ESPN. As best I can tell, he has us as the 2nd team out right now, and has 9 teams above us (and one below) that play today. Any of those teams could lose and fall out. Actually our NET ranking is currently higher than all but two of those teams (NCST and Florida), and some by quite a bit. Texas is the only team higher than us in KenPom, and it's not really even close.

The nine teams above us, according to Lunardi, and their game today:

IU vs. OSU
Florida (vs. Ark)
TCU (vs. Kansas St.)
NCST (vs. UVA)
St. Johns (vs. Marquette)
Texas (vs. Kansas)
Arizona St. (vs. UCLA)
Temple (plays tomorrow)

Other games of note

Alabama (Ole Miss)
Nebraska (Maryland)
Creighton (Xavier)
Georgetown vs. Seton Hall

Very true. If the right teams lose today the Tigers have a real good chance to make it. It will kill a lot of experts on this board but it could happen. We don’t need a lot of defeats by conferences champs today I’ll be surprised if the Tigers don’t make it!

TCU, Texas, and Florida need to go down. Hopefully all the teams in the list. I think Seton Hall is in after last week so I will pull for them to beat Gtown. Not sure who we should pull for with OSU and Indiana.
