You're probably right. He has zero experience running a big time program in the SEC.

will be getting in the future. Yes he ran a great baseball program but face it, baseball is not a major sport ( imo )!! Running an Athletic Dept. the size of USuC's is a completely different animal and I don't think he's prepared for that.
What do you think is going to happen when he tells SOS to clean up his football program or he will be fired.
Some here think hiring Dabo was a stretch but mking Tanner AD is a monumental stretch !! Again jmo !!

Big time programs dont give themselves rings just for winning ten regular season games and a bowl game and finishing second in their div

amount of money Scar has. That is why I called them a big time program. I tried to make a rational argument about why I think it is a bad hire but all everyone here seems concerned about is that I used the term "big time" !! Sheesh next thing you know someone will be calling me a coot !!

that Scar made a bad hire. But if you noticed they promoted 2 people that are familiar with the way that the Athletic Dept. is run. I imagine they will be calling most of the shots and Tanner will just be figurehead that is popular with the fans. H### Tanner even took a pay cut !!
