Wanted Tigers in Rose Bowl last yr knowing 1st hand how prestigious it was but UGa Fans

Dec 1, 2018, 9:03 AM

did it proud imho by showing up big time & putting on a tremendous multi OT show to beat OK & our favorite tombstone losing QB.

If my memory serves me half-right..DaBO picked the closer bowl even though being #1 seed gave Clemson the option to choose (and he chose Fl venue for $ relief & better attendance for Tiger Fans) and left Granddaddy Rose Bowl for Ga.

I still think he made a wrong decision on the greater overall economical & world-wide impact it would have had for little-known Clemson.

The Bowl is only 1/2 of that unreal beautiful event what with the 150th year Rose Parade held earlier in the morn with huge flowered floats, bands, horses, antique cars, celebrities, national TV coverage, great fair weather, low mountain ranges & VEGAS nearby.

Saying..We missed our rarest of exposure venues & hope Clemson gets to a Rose Bowl Playoff in next 10 yrs.

Flame away..3,2,1! ????

I don’t think the teams have any say in where they play.

E$PN...err...the $EC...I mean the playoff committee picks who plays where.

Being #1 Seed allowed DaBO & Clemson Administration to choose ROSE, but didn’t!!

I always thought that as well,

I'm pretty sure the committee picked the site. I recall Dabo saying it would be cool to play in the Rose. Recall the article the other day that explained how site selections are done. It's pretty flaky, but they claim there is a method.

There is a method. They ask Alabama.***

Sorry Bill, you’re incorrect on this one. It’s been discussed throughly and I’m tired of explaining it, but the teams don’t pick. Check out the TigerNet article about the cotton bowl.

Hope this helps.

Sorry Bill that is just not the fact. The committee decided. Dabo has a decision as to what practice facility he wanted to use in New Orleans. But that was the only choice he had.

Little-known Clemson? Not anymore!
