So we are very heavy favorites with the points spread...

But what games did you just know were going to be much more of a beatdown than the spread indicated?

Did you foresee the 63-17 or 45-0 games?

knew Danny was going to have them ready. The 63-17 not so much...Buttttt, the CLemson crowd was very roudy before the game..I've told this before,but will repeat again. Clemson fans got in the stands very early that game. I bet we did the 1..2..3..4 cheer 25 times before kickoff. Anyway, we score early...1..2...3..4..breaks out..We score again...1..2..3..4..Cee..Ell....Eeee...and then we score agian again in the FIRST QUARTER. Well sirs, 7 coots on our row get up, gather all their stuff, and start walking past us to get to the steps. Just as the last old coot clears me and starts down the steps, 1...2...3...4...breaks out again. He turns and looks at me and says,"Well, I see y'all findly learned how to spell it!", I said, "Yessir, you stick around another quarter and YOU'LL learn how to spell it"...

saw 63-17 coming.

I think the 2016 game felt like it was going to be a beat down going in. My only reservation with that one is that we had just laid an egg the year before in Columbia and let their 3-9 team hang around with the best Clemson team in 34 years.

I was only 7 in '89 so i don't remember the buildup for that game, but I'm guessing Clemson fans were pretty confident. Probably not 45-0 confident, but I'm sure we were expected to win.
