Who is the best player ever to play for Clemson and never beat SCAR once ??
Sadly, there is a good chance that the answer in the future will be Nuk Hopkins.
Now, here's the tricky part ..
Until this year, it was VERY difficult to find a Clemson player good, bad, or indifferent who never beat SCAR during his career as a Tiger.

I would list him choice 1-a along with Daquan Bowers and Dwayne Allen, I suppose.
Now I just hope that we won't be having to add Tajh Boyd and Sammy Watkins to the list after next year! ;-/

True ... the 2008 class was the last one to beat SCAR before 2009-2012 all lost.
Ellington, Bowers, Allen et al from lass of '08 were winners as freshmen.

Undefeated in 1950 and the only won 17 games total over the next four years! SCAR wasn't particularly good either.
But, there was a good reason why we didn't beat SCAR during those years. We didn't have very many excellent players.
At least over the last four most recent years, our excellent players have lost to legitimately very good SCAR teams.

Being the best Clemson player never to have beaten SCAR may not be a title he wants to carry with him the rest of his life.
