The Tigers pitching is somewhat suspect. A few good arms but for the most part, nothing spectacular

The team batting average is not very high and only a couple of guys are around 300

There has been some games where they have shown power but not on a regular basis

From a percentage standpoint the fielding is the worst in the league

On the bases the Tigers are perhaps a little above average but not great

But no team we have seen all year is as 'gritty' as the Tigers and it has carried them to a number of great wins
They are amazing in one run games

Good coaching and very focused and determined players have made us a national seed

It's going to be fun

We lead the ACC in HRs so I would say the power has been regular .
This team is just starting to play good ball it has been just decent most of the season.

I agree with your general premises...the teams stats and success don't necessarily match therefore the heart of the players and good coaching have lead to unexpected success.

But if I'm not mistaken we lead the ACC in HR's. And to your point I think there have been a lot of clutch HR's where we only had a few hits in the game, yet a key 2 run bomb turned momentum or put is ahead.

I agree. This has been an amazing team and one that is fun to follow I'm not trying to be negative at all. Baseball has always been a game of statistics and the stats really don't translate to the successes that Clemson has had this season
Without question, the last twenty games or so has shown a different team from what the early season projected. When you have a team that refuses to lose .... you have something special. Go Tigers

Top 50, head to head, etc.

The only team we could possibly face, better than us, would be UNCW (top 5 in runs and slugging)
